    About Skye

Skye is originally from Saint Cloud, Florida, but has lived in Northwest Florida since 2013. She first joined UWF as an undergraduate student majoring in Community Education and has been a part of the UWF community ever since! Skye has greatly enjoyed the rich learning experiences UWF has provided throughout her educational journey. She loves reading, all animals, and learning new skills. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and watching sitcoms.

What's the best part of your job?

The best part of my job is connecting with students and their families. I understand that enrolling in college and embarking on this exciting journey can be intimidating. That's why I love helping students navigate the process by connecting them with resources and opportunities that align with their unique needs and interests.

What's the best thing about UWF?

The best thing about UWF is the opportunity to build strong bonds with staff, faculty, and peers. Thanks to UWF’s smaller faculty to student ratio, I was able to form meaningful relationships with my professors, which made me feel more comfortable seeking help whenever I needed it.

What's your favorite spot on campus?

My favorite spot on campus is the library! The fourth floor, which is a silent study area, became my second home as a student living with roommates. The library’s flexible hours make it especially accessible for non-traditional students.

    What makes Pensacola special?

What makes Pensacola special are the beautiful beaches. I love the wildlife, the sunshine, the white sand, and swimming in the clear water. If you are ever able to watch a Blue Angels show on the beach, you will not forget it!

What can students expect at UWF?

At UWF, you can expect diverse academic programs and a vibrant campus life. With a wide variety of undergraduate and graduate programs and numerous student organizations, clubs, and involvement opportunities, students enjoy a well-rounded college experience.

What are the top questions you get asked about UWF?

The most common questions I get about UWF include admission requirements, application deadlines, and the support available for students with disabilities through our Student Accessibility Resources office.
