Admissions sat down with Nick to learn a little more about who he is and what he loves about UWF. Hear from his perspective to learn more about UWF.
About Nick
Nick, a Pensacola native, attended high school in Gulf Breeze and returned to the area after college. He is a graduate from the University of South Alabama where he earned his degree in Professional Health Sciences with a concentration in Healthcare Management. Nick is a brother of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity and active member of our campus community. Nick finds himself learning more and more about the University of West Florida everyday. While talking with student organizations and recent alumnus, there is a world of opportunity at your fingertips. In his free time, he enjoys going to ice hockey games, laying out at the beach, or enjoying a movie night in.
What's the best part of your job?
The best part about my job is being able to spread the word about the amazing opportunities offered at the University of West Florida and in Pensacola. Traveling to meet new students and sharing my experiences at UWF is incredibly rewarding.
What's the best thing about UWF?
The best thing about UWF is how the campus is constantly buzzing. You’ll always catch friends or classmates around campus, in the library, or University Commons. Intramural sports, on campus events, and student organizations can help you grow your connections with others and foster new friendships along the way.
Why did you come to UWF?
I wanted to highlight the impact and reach that the University of West Florida has on our students. In my time here, I have met students from all over the country and internationally as well. When speaking to students about their campus life and off campus life, they always mention how UWF allowed them to explore the area by doing something fresh.
What's your favorite spot on campus?
My favorite spot on campus has to be The Art Gallery at UWF. This gallery highlights work from current students, local artists, and even artists beyond the Gulf Coast. While the gallery is about 1,600 square feet, you can almost get lost in the art.
What makes Pensacola special?
Pensacola is home to myself and many others at the university. With the beautiful sand at the beach and the fireworks after a Wahoo’s game, it feels like it couldn’t get any better! Pensacola always has events going on like the Palafox Market or an Ice Flyers game. I love being able to explore the area and always find something new to do.
