About Meghan-Grace
What's the best part of your job?
The best part of my job is getting to meet new people and share how amazing UWF is! When I was a senior in high school, I had never even heard of UWF. Choosing to become an Argo ended up being the best decision I’ve ever made, and I love having the chance to help others discover a place that could be just as special for them.
What's the best thing about UWF?
The best thing about UWF is that during your time as an Argonaut, you are truly able to make your college experience your own. We offer a wide variety of majors, clubs, and organizations, as well as internship opportunities, so there is something for everyone. UWF's size also allows our students to truly get involved and feel as though they are part of the university, making an impact during their time here.
Why did you come to UWF?
As a senior in high school, I knew I wanted to attend a smaller university where I wouldn’t feel like just another fish in the sea. I was looking for a school where I could get involved, make an impact, and truly feel like part of a community. UWF was the perfect size and offered so many ways to get engaged through Greek life, clubs and organizations, student government, and on-campus jobs. It gave me the full college experience, but in a much more personal and supportive environment.
What's your favorite spot on campus?
My favorite spot on campus is the Health, Leisure, and Sports Facility (HLS)! It’s an incredible space with great equipment, multiple gyms and studios, and even relaxing lounge areas.
What makes Pensacola special?
Pensacola has everything you could possibly need, from the beautiful beach, a fun historic downtown area, and even a Minor League Baseball team! There are also tons of community events that make it easy to get involved and feel at home. Some of my favorites are Gallery Night, McGuire’s St. Patrick’s Day 5K, and the Pensacola Beach Mardi Gras parade.
What can students expect at UWF?
At UWF, students can expect to be surrounded by people who care about them – professors, academic advisors, resident assistants, on-campus police, club & organization advisors, upperclassmen – the list goes on and on! There’s a strong sense of community here, along with excellent resources to support student success. It’s the kind of environment where you can truly thrive.
