What's the best part of your job?

The best part of my job by far is meeting and getting to know so many new people who are interested in our university. I enjoy making and maintaining personal connections with students to ensure that they find their best fit at UWF. Not only that, but as a native of Northwest Florida, I relish the opportunity to share my own positive experiences living on the Gulf Coast and highlight the benefits of being a student at UWF.

What's the best thing about UWF?

For me, the best thing about UWF is the personalized attention you receive. At this university, students aren’t simply a number - they have a name, a face, and an identity within a diverse student population. Our small class sizes ensure that our students receive constant guidance from a number of world-renowned professors as well as continuous assistance from a wide range of friendly faculty and staff on campus.

Why did you come to UWF?

I came to UWF to pursue my passion of guiding and assisting prospective and current students in higher education. I chose this university not only because of the opportunities it grants to its students both on and off campus, but also because of the care and consideration of its student population. During their time at UWF, students have access to numerous services that pertain to topics like career development, peer education, and mental health - and that’s just the tip of the iceberg! The academic and personal success of each and every student is a main priority here.

What's your favorite spot on campus?

Aside from the gorgeous nature trail, my current favorite spot on campus is the Nautilus Market. The dining room atmosphere is relaxed and there’s always something social going on. The food is also delicious!

    What makes Pensacola special?

The location is absolutely one of the best things about Pensacola. Our premier spot on the Florida panhandle ensures that I get to spend as much time as I want on our beautiful white-sand beaches. As a traveler, our location in the Southeast guarantees I also have my pick between several major cities such as New Orleans, Atlanta, and Tampa. Despite its small-town vibe, our vivacious city is in a constant flux of growth - meaning there’s always another coffee shop for me to explore!
