Admissions sat down with Grace to learn a little more about who she is and what she loves about UWF. Hear from her perspective to learn more about UWF.

    About Grace

Grace is originally from Irvine, California. She came to UWF as a student majoring in public relations. She was looking for a college with small class sizes and big opportunities, and a campus tour at UWF her senior year sealed the deal. Grace loves dogs, cats, and good food. In her spare time, you can find her spending time with family and friends.

What's the best part of your job?

Meeting new people who are excited about life! College is the beginning of so many opportunities and possibilities — it is exciting to be a small part of every student’s journey. I love helping people find their fit. Every university is different regarding campus culture and degree program offerings, so the opportunity to really listen to students about their hopes, fears, wants, and needs really allows me to connect them with the resources and opportunities that align with their goals and ideal college experience.

What's the best thing about UWF?

The people. The faculty and staff at UWF are incredible. Everyone really cares about you as a person. You are never just another number in a classroom of 300 students. Your professors are there because they love to teach. They will get to know you and assist you throughout your academic journey and support your future endeavors as well. I still keep in touch with my professors!

Why did you come to UWF?

The campus culture of caring. I was blown away by the personal touches throughout my admissions experience. If I ever had a question, even a small one, the campus community went above and beyond to not only answer my questions but share other opportunities I might not have thought about otherwise.

What's your favorite spot on campus?

The nature trail is my favorite spot on campus. It is so peaceful and relaxing. There are also a lot of trails to choose from, so it never gets boring!

    What makes Pensacola special?

Pensacola’s location alone is fantastic. From my house, I am 15 minutes away from one of the world’s most beautiful beaches. I am five minutes away from an active, historic downtown with incredible food, live music, local shopping, and professional sports games. Who could ask for more?
